About

A small Sydney club for
a particular kind of man.

Friday Club started as a standing dinner between a tailor, a watch dealer, and a few of their clients. It grew the way things tend to — slowly, by introduction, around a shared interest in things that are made properly.

The idea

Most men in Sydney with a real interest in tailoring, watches, or the adjacent crafts end up talking about it alone. Friday Club is the room that doesn't make you do that.

Members are makers and the people who appreciate their work. Tailors and shoemakers sit next to lawyers and founders. A photographer might end the night booked to shoot a member's lookbook. None of that is organised in advance.

We meet on Fridays, usually monthly. Sometimes for a fitting and a drink, sometimes for a long dinner, sometimes for a quiet viewing of something worth seeing.

House standards
01

Kept small

The room stays manageable. By the end of a year, every member knows every other member.

02

Names stay in the room

We don't publish a member list. What's said over dinner stays at the table.

03

Honest about fit

If the club isn't right for someone, we say so early rather than waste their evening.

04

Makers at the centre

Tailors, shoemakers, watchmakers, photographers. The craftspeople set the tone.
